Congratulations, you have the ring, now it is time to plan the wedding. Now you need someone to capture your unique and wonderful day. Every wedding day is a memory needed to be cherished forever. I am a UK and Welsh Wedding Photographer and have a vibrant bright and natural style to help you relive your day for years to come. I have covered weddings throughout South Wales and even Northern Wales regions. I am based in the beautiful Cotswolds but love to travel. I not only cover the whole of Wales also travel to Bristol, Bath, Somerset and even further afield to Devon and Cornwall.

Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision and something that needs to feel like a good fit. We all have different styles and ways of working and you need to be happy with both. My style is bright, vibrant and natural to capture the exact way your wedding day looked. My biggest aim on your wedding day is to make you smile and laugh. The more you laugh and enjoy yourself the more your photos will shine. If you feel comfortable around me then I have done my job!

I was a very nervous bride myself when it came to my wedding photos. When I got married I wasn’t a photographer so knew absolutely nothing! That is why now I try to get you as used to the camera and myself as possible before your big day. Check out my page on engagement shoots for more information on this.

Over the past few years I have had the privilege of working with some amazing couples and venues. Wales has a stunning variety of venues for your wedding day including, Castles, Manor Houses, rustic barns and stunning gardens.

Sophie has been absolutely brilliant and we can't recommend her as a photographer enough. Neither my partner or I are fans of posing infront of cameras as we end up looking really awkward. Sophie managed to put us both at ease and we had a great time on both our engagement shoot and at the wedding. Her services are incredible value for money. All of the photographs have been beautiful and we think there are a good few that could be award winning! (We have had other people tell us the same as well). The detail, colour and texture on the photos are incredible. The sneak peak of some of the professional photographs so soon after the wedding was also a lovely touch. Everyone who attended the wedding loved them and it also meant we've been able to share parts of our day with those who couldn't attend. We cannot recommend Sophie enough. If you need an excellent photographer for an event, Sophie is the person to choose.

Prices start from £1500

Every wedding day is unique to you and your needs. I have different collections on offer to help find the best fit for your day. If you are looking for something more bespoke, get in touch and I can help. I do offer destination weddings – visit my destination weddings page here.

All wedding collections include a couple of standard elements including a pre-wedding consultation. These can either be done face to face (possibly at your venue) or via a video chat. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and hear all about your plans for your day and generally get all excited! If needed, I will also visit your venue (if it is a new venue to myself) before your wedding and consult with any wedding planners to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible.

Welsh Engagement Shoots

I also include engagement shoots in my Rose and Sunflower collections. Engagement shoots are the best opportunity to get to know me more (and I you) as well as getting used to the camera. Believe me we can make it super fun too! You get some lovely photos of the two of you to share before your wedding or to use on your day.

All engagement shoots can be shot in any sort of location you like but ask about some locations if you are not sure. Check out my Engagement Photography page for more details on these shoots. Some lovely spots in Wales include Castell Coch near Cardiff, Ogmore-by-Sea for some lovely beach shots and Dyffryn Gardens.

After your wedding

After every wedding I send you through a first look album of some of the photos from your day, so straight away you have some photos to share. I also send you through some free prints of some of my personal favourite ones of your day. There is nothing better than seeing your photos in print and I love seeing them too!

All your photos are then sent through to you on an online gallery where you can download, share, buy products and post your photos to your hearts content!

Second Photographers £350

This isn’t something that you have to have, but I would highly recommend it! It maximises the coverage of your day and can provide a different perspective and angle of your day. For example, whilst I am at the front of your ceremony getting photos of the two of you. Your second Welsh Wedding Photographer can be getting guests reactions and a different angle on your vows and first kiss.

Your second photographer can cover second partner prep, your guests whilst you are having couples photos or any other element you wish. They are also fantastic at ensuring the day runs well along with myself. It’s great to have help when organising your guests for any group shots you may wish to have. Their complementary images will always add to your wedding photos as they are edited by myself to ensure a seamless collection.

Albums

Know you want a wedding album after? A 10×10 album is included in our Sunflower collection. There are so many options to choose from with an album and it can be quite overwhelming when you are trying to do it yourself.

All you have to do is choose a few preferences – colours, size, material etc. and of course choose your favourite photos. You can choose these in your online gallery and I will be able to view this too. From there I will create your beautiful album whilst you get to sit back and relax with a lovely cuppa.

Don’t worry I always send through proofs before hitting print, so if you want to make any changes you can.

FAQs

When do I get my photos?

4-6 weeks after your wedding you will receive your wedding photos in your online gallery. If, due to busy periods, this would be longer you will be fully informed. To make sure you get something before then I always send you through some first look photos of your day to share to your heart’s content. They also make great photos for thank you cards.

How many photos do I get?

On average a half day at around 5-6 hours has a minimum of 400 and a full day 700+ images. Other factors included second photographers and specific requests can alter how many photos you get. For example group shot lists etc. If you have lots of decor details this can also increase photo counts.

Can I give you a list of photos?

Definitely! Any lists are more than welcome. I would recommend keeping them simple as the last thing you want is standing around taking loads, you want to chat with your guest. I would recommend 10 maximum but you are welcome to have more. If you aren’t sure what you would like then let me know and I can run my top 5 on your day.

Do you edit the images?

Yes I edit the photos. The process of editing essentially involves making an appropriate artistic judgement on each photo for a cohesive collection. With minor adjustments to the exposure and crop or a conversion to black and white, for example. After this process you’ll receive perfectly-crafted digital images that reflect your beautiful day and you as a couple. However, if you want certain photos photoshopped in any I can offer this service (depending on the request) for an additional fee.

Do you offer bespoke collections?

Yes I do! All weddings are different so I try to offer collections to fit the majority of weddings however if you need something different get in touch! If you are only looking for a few hours coverage I am more than happy to send you a bespoke quote. If you are looking for an elopement or destination wedding then get in touch with more details of your day and what you are looking for, then I can come up with a bespoke collection for you.

Do you travel?

Although I am a Gloucestershire Wedding Photographer I am happy to travel literally anywhere. I love to travel and meet couples all over the country. I have covered weddings in Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Stroud, Cirencester. As well as Wales, Somerset, Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire and Devon. All my collections include travel within the UK.

If your wedding would require an overnight stay additional charges may apply so get in touch soon.

Would you travel abroad?

Of course! Again, although I am based in Gloucestershire we are more than happy to travel anywhere! I have flown out to Majorca for a wedding and it was amazing! Can I buy an album?

Yes! I offer a selection of different albums. You can pre order one before your wedding day or come back to me after. They really are a very special touch after your wedding. I always show albums at my wedding fayres so pop along to see one! If you want more information on albums, drop me a message and I can send you over my wedding guide.

What is a second photographer?

A second photographer is just that. A second person on your day taking photos of your lovely day. They are great for getting variety of photos and full coverage of your day. I take their photos at the end of your day and edit them along with my own to give you a beautiful full album that works seamlessly together.

The best bit is I organise everything for you. You don’t need to go hunting for another photographer. I am very lucky to be surrounded by a group of very talented wedding photographers who I work with both as a lead and a second myself. From this brilliant group I bring along one as your second. I know and trust each of them so can give you peace of mind that your second photographer is fantastic.

Do I need a second photographer? Does it cost double?

Ask yourself these questions:

Do you want preparation photos of both of you on the morning? Along with a vast range of angles?
Do you have more than 100 guests?
Do you want as many different photos as possible of all of your guests?

If you answered yes to all of these then I would highly recommend you book a second. This doesn’t mean this isn’t possible with just one photographer however we can’t be in two places at once. Don’t panic second photographers do not cost you double. I charge £250 for a second photographer for all day.
