So you might have landed on this page and thought, Soph you live in Gloucestershire how can you be a also be a Devon photographer?!

It is pretty simple. I love to travel and I will happily travel to wherever the wedding takes me. Yes I live in Gloucestershire and most of my work is around this area but did you know I also used to live in Plymouth when I was doing my degree… in Teaching.

Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision and something that needs to feel right. My style is bright, vibrant and natural to capture the exact way your wedding day looked. It would be a bit rude of me to change your colour scheme with my photos right?!

My biggest goal on your wedding day is to make you smile and laugh. The more you laugh and enjoy yourself the more your photos will shine. If you feel comfortable around me then I have done my job – then I will send you some photos!

I was a very nervous bride myself when it came to my wedding photos. When I got married I wasn’t a photographer so knew absolutely nothing! That is why now I try to get you as used to the camera and myself as possible before your big day. Check out my page on engagement shoots for more information on this.

I have had the honour of working with some amazing and wonderful couples throughout the UK and now down in Devon and Cornwall. It is always such a joy to be apart of capturing those happy memories of your day.

Whether you are getting married down by the seafront in Plymouth, rustic barn near Exeter or beautiful marquee near Ilfracombe, I have got you covered! I have never seen the same wedding as no two weddings are the same and every couple is unique and wonderful.

Prices start from £1700

Every wedding day is different and so I have a selection of collections on offer to help find the best fit for your day. If you are looking for something more bespoke, get in touch and I can help. I do offer destination weddings – visit my destination weddings page here.

All wedding collections include a couple of standard elements including a pre-wedding consultation. These can either be done face to face (possibly at your venue) or via a video chat. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and hear all about your plans for your day and generally get all excited! If needed, I will also visit your venue (if it is a new venue to myself) before your wedding and consult with any wedding planners to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible.

I also include ALL travel down to Devon. So don’t worry no hidden travel fees. If you want me down there I will be there!

Engagement Shoots

If, like me, you are a bit nervous about having your picture taken then an engagement shoot is brilliant before your wedding. I also include engagement shoots in my Rose and Sunflower collections. It gives you a chance to see how I work and get more comfortable around the camera. I promise it will be fun and not scary!! Plus, you have some lovely memories and photos to share before the big day itself!

All engagement shoots can be shot in any sort of location you like but ask about some locations if you are not sure. Check out my Engagement Photography page for me details on these shoots.

After your wedding

All your photos are then sent through to you on an online gallery where you can download, share, buy products and post your photos to your hearts content!

After every wedding I send you through a first look album of some of the photos from your day, so straight away you have some photos to share. There is nothing better than seeing your photos in print and I love seeing them too! That is why I always include some prints within the all day collections as well as our popular Brag Books!

Second Photographers £350

Are you looking for maximum coverage of your wedding day? Want both of you to get preparation shots in the morning? Want all angles covered during your ceremony? Then ask about booking in for a second photographer. A second photographer can maximum the coverage of your day and provide lots of different perspectives and angles. For example, whilst I am at the front of your ceremony getting photos of the two of you. Your second Bath Wedding Photographer can be getting guests’ reactions and a different angle on your vows and rings.

They are also brilliant at ensuring the day runs well along with myself. It’s great to have help when organising your guests for any group shots you may wish to have. Their complementary images will always add to your wedding photos as they are edited by myself to ensure a seamless collection. I would highly recommend having a second!

Albums

Our Sunflower collection includes a 10×10 album because there is nothing more special than seeing your photos in an album. There are so many options to choose from with an album and it can be quite confusing and daunting trying to do it yourself.

Enter Sophie! All you have to do is choose a few options over a cuppa and a zoom chat – colours, size, material etc. and of course choose your favourite photos. In your online gallery you flag the photos and I will be able to view this too. From there I will create your beautiful album whilst you get to sit back and relax.

Don’t worry I always send through proofs before hitting print, so if you want to make any changes you can.

FAQs

When do I get my photos?

Your online gallery will pop up full to the brim with your wedding photos 4-6 weeks after your wedding day. If your wedding is in the height of wedding season then this can be up to 12 weeks after. You will be fully informed of timescales throughout. To keep you from waiting too long I always send you through some first look photos within 24-48 hours after your day.

How many photos do I get?

I always aim to deliver you the best images from your day and everyone’s day is different. On average a half day at around 5-6 hours has a minimum of 400 and a full day 700+ images. Other factors included second photographers and specific requests can alter how many photos you get. For example group shot lists etc. If you have lots of decor details this can also increase photo counts.

Can I give you a list of photos?

Without a doubt! Email me over your list or pop it in your online questionnaire and I will bring it along with me on your day. If you aren’t sure what you would like then let me know and I can run my top 5 on your day. I would recommend keeping group shots to a smaller number (10 at most) so you can enjoy your day without having to stand around for photos for ages. I would recommend making sure immediate family including any Grandparents are on your list.

Do you edit the images?

Yes I edit the photos. The process of editing essentially involves making an appropriate artistic judgement on each photo for a cohesive collection. With minor adjustments to the exposure and crop or a conversion to black and white, for example. After this process you’ll receive perfectly-crafted digital images that reflect your beautiful day and you as a couple. However, if you want certain photos photoshopped in any I can offer this service (depending on the request) for an additional fee.

Do you offer bespoke collections?

Yes I do! All weddings are different so I try to offer collections to fit the majority of weddings however if you need something different get in touch! If you are only looking for a few hours coverage I am more than happy to send you a bespoke quote. If you are looking for an elopement or destination wedding then get in touch with more details of your day and what you are looking for, then I can come up with a bespoke collection for you.

Do you travel?

Although I am a Gloucestershire Wedding Photographer I am happy to travel literally anywhere. I love to travel and meet couples all over the country. I have covered weddings in Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Stroud, Cirencester. As well as Wales, Somerset, Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire and Devon. All my collections include travel within the UK.

If your wedding would require an overnight stay additional charges may apply so get in touch soon.

Would you travel abroad?

Of course! Again, although I am based in Gloucestershire we are more than happy to travel anywhere! I have flown out to Majorca for a wedding and it was amazing! Can I buy an album?

Yes! I offer a selection of different albums. You can pre order one before your wedding day or come back to me after. They really are a very special touch after your wedding. I always show albums at my wedding fayres so pop along to see one! If you want more information on albums, drop me a message and I can send you over my wedding guide.

What is a second photographer?

A second photographer is just that. A second person on your day taking photos of your lovely day. They are great for getting variety of photos and full coverage of your day. I take their photos at the end of your day and edit them along with my own to give you a beautiful full album that works seamlessly together.

The best bit is I organise everything for you. You don’t need to go hunting for another photographer. I am very lucky to be surrounded by a group of very talented wedding photographers who I work with both as a lead and a second myself. From this brilliant group I bring along one as your second. I know and trust each of them so can give you peace of mind that your second photographer is fantastic.

Do I need a second photographer? Does it cost double?

Ask yourself these questions:

Do you want preparation photos of both of you on the morning? Along with a vast range of angles?
Do you have more than 100 guests?
Do you want as many different photos as possible of all of your guests?

If you answered yes to all of these then I would highly recommend you book a second. This doesn’t mean this isn’t possible with just one photographer however we can’t be in two places at once. Don’t panic second photographers do not cost you double. I charge £250 for a second photographer for all day.
