Birtsmorton Court Wedding

Stephen and Anna

Birtsmorton court is one of the most unique wedding venues out there. Not many venues can say they have a Moated Manor House, Great Hall and stunning White Garden. Honestly, their gardens alone are so beautiful and the perfect place for photos.

Stephen and Anna chose to have their venue here for that exact reason – the venue was perfect for them. They chose to have a bright and colourful theme (my favourite type of theme) and it did not disappoint in the slightest! Simply beautiful.

Another thing that made this wedding so utterly unique and beautiful is that Anna made her own dress! Yes you read that correctly Anna MADE HER OWN DRESS! I was absolutely blown away when she revealed the dress and it suited perfectly.

They had their ceremony in the church at Birtsmorton Court which was followed by a lovely drinks reception over at the Court and then White Garden. Stephen and Anna had thought about their guests throughout the day and had lawn games, a sweet cart and photo booth later in the evening.

They also booked a second photographer with me for the wedding. I had the brilliant Khya Watts Photography. They really wanted lots of candids and loved the idea of multiple angles throughout the day of the key events. Find out more reasons why you should be a second photographer here.

After some lovely portraits round the grounds in various places, including a greenhouse! We headed back for the speeches and wedding breakfast.

The night ended with everyone having a good old party and dancing on the dancefloor. The dance floor at Birtsmorton Court is great! Neon boogie wonderland lights, a HUGE glitterball and dancefloor make it the perfect place to dance the night away. It is also separate from the main reception area so no need to vacate the room to change it round!

Tips from this Birtsmorton Court Wedding to take to yours:

  • Colour! Lots of people think they have to have one colour scheme. But who said all the colours don’t work?! Anna’s bouquets were incredible and a huge hit with guests.
  • Book a second – I know I say it a lot but you will never be disappointed with having more photos and with two of us we can get multiple angles and be in two places at once then!
