Back in June 2023, I had the opportunity to head out to Northern Ireland on a workshop on the Giants Causeway. Workshops are brilliant as they allow us photographers to try out new ideas for our clients and visit places we wouldn’t normally get to.
It was fantastic as I have always wanted to get some beautiful photos of the Causeway and with a real couple even better! I then got the bug for Northern Ireland and knew I had to add this to my portfolio and offer it to client.
When we first got to the causeway in the evening the heavens were fully open with thunder and lightening! But we waited patiently and then the beauty of Ireland came out. We had a gorgeous sunset and even dolphins swimming across the bay!
If you are looking for a unique and famous landmark to have your elopement you should definitely look into the Giants Causeway. In the evening it is the perfect spot with fewer visitors too which means certain parts of the Causeway have no one there.
Northern Ireland has so many spots too for amazing photos. I am hoping to head back out in 2024 with another couple to show you some of the other spots such as Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle and Mussenden Temple.
