Hi there, I am Sophie and I am a UK Wedding Photographer. Little bit about me! I live in the stunning Stroud Valleys with my Husband and 2 cats, Callie and Cleo. Yes, I am a little bit of a cat lady – not sorry about it! We had our honeymoon in New Zealand which is slowly feeling like a second home, with more plans to go back again and again.

Before I took the leap to start my own business, I used to be a Primary School Teacher. I survived 7 years in that job before I decided to hang up my lanyard. Hats off to every single teacher out there – you are saints and do an incredible job! So when I say I can organise the group shots for you I can.

Although, I am based in the beautiful Stroud Valleys in Gloucestershire, but memories can be made anywhere, anytime! That is why I cover weddings all over the UK. Everywhere from Cornwall all the way to Scotland in 2026!

I have a huge passion for photographing couple’s wedding days! I adore the beauty, happiness and love in every wedding and having the honour to photograph these special days is truly wonderful. What better memory to capture with my camera?

Once your wedding is over you can’t get rid of me that easily! I also offer family work to keep you capturing those memories for years to come!

MY COMMITMENT TO YOU

I always say choosing a wedding photographer is like buying a house. No, we don’t move in with you, but you know who the right person for you is when you get chatting with them. That is why I always offer video calls when booking clients in so they can get to know me more.

It is also why I am always just myself with all my clients, jokes and all! My biggest aim on your wedding day is to make sure you have fun getting your photos. The more relaxed you are the better your photos will be!

I strongly believe that every photo I take is your memory and it should be as natural as possible. I myself find having my photo taken daunting. That is why I take natural photos whilst going for a walk, having a chat and generally having a nice time.

I feel so privileged to be a part of your day and creating wonderful memories and that is why I pride myself on producing you a collection of photographs you can cherish. I take the time to produce your photos so you can have a story of your wedding day to look back on with a smile on your face. I have a relaxed, vibrant and natural style of photography, no trends or filters on your photos. The colours of the day are the colours you see in your photos!

You will never find that I limit you on the number of photos you can ‘choose to buy’ or charge you more for ‘extra’ photos. There are no such thing as ‘extra’ photos in my work as they are your photos.

Lets Make a Memory!

So... how did sophie tc Photography start?

Photography has always been a passion of mine. Anyone who knows me knows I love capturing special moments!

So, in 2019, I finally took the plunge and set up Sophie TC Photography to showcase some of my favourite memories and photos that I was particularly proud of. All whilst still working a full-time job as a Primary School Teacher in a lovely little school in Stroud. I started off with landscapes, experimented with light painting and learnt how to use my new camera! I also loved photographing family and friends and even their pets. I taught some light painting classes into school and even took it out to local Scout Groups.

I was then approached by the KatKinz Rescue centre to photograph some of their resident cats for their annual Christmas cards! Photographing kittens for hours – who could say no?! Katkinz are a wonderful charity based in Gloucester who specialise in the fostering and rehoming of cats and kittens. Visit the charity page to see some of the photos.

Then in 2020 I bravely asked a very kind couple if I could ‘give their wedding a go as such’ and thankfully they said yes (they didn’t have a photographer booked) I found a new passion I never knew existed and a love for photography all over again! I was then hooked and could not wait to take this passion further and photograph more weddings.

Since then, I have been building my business and have had the absolute joy of working with some truly amazing couples, families and other photographers. This is just the beginning of the adventure.
