Congratulations, you have the ring and maybe even booked your venue. Now you need someone to capture your beautiful day. Hi, I am Sophie and I am Bristol Wedding Photographer with a vibrant bright and natural style to help you relive your day for years to come. I have covered weddings throughout Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud and Cirencester. I also travel to Bath, Somerset, Wales and even further afield to Devon and Cornwall.

Relaxed and fun wedding photography...

Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision and sometimes quite daunting. I myself am not afraid to say I do not exactly enjoy having my photo taken, I need to be having fun and feeling relaxed to get a nice shot. That is why I aim to capture memories of your day in a relaxed and as natural way as possible. If I can get you laughing and smiling on your day I have done my job!

No stiff awkward posing and no saying ‘cheeseee’ for every group photo or any for that matter! Of course, you may want some of the more traditional line up photos with your family but who says they cannot be fun? To get the best photos just be yourselves and dance the night away!

I have had the pleasure of working with some truly wonderful couples both in the very heart of Bristol and throughout the surrounding counties, even beyond and it is always such a joy to be apart of capturing those happy memories of your day.

Whether you are getting married at a country manor house just outside Bristol, rustic barn nearer the Cotswolds or stunning city centre hotel, I have got you covered! No two weddings are the same and every couple is unique.

Prices start from £1500

Every wedding day is unique and so I have different collections on offer to help find the best fit for your day. If you are looking for something more bespoke, get in touch and I can help. I do offer destination weddings – visit my destination weddings page here.

All wedding collections include a pre-wedding consultation. These can either be done face to face or via a video chat. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and hear all about your plans for your day. I will also visit your venue (if it is a new venue to myself) before your wedding and consult with any wedding planners to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible.

Bristol Engagement Shoots

I also include engagement shoots in my Rose and Sunflower collections. If, like me, you are a bit nervous about having your picture taken then an engagement shoot is brilliant before your wedding. It gives you a chance to see how I work and get more comfortable around the camera. Plus, you have some lovely memories and photos to share before the big day itself!

All engagement shoots can be shot in any sort of location you like but ask about some locations if you are not sure. Check out my Engagement Photography page for me details on these shoots.

After your wedding

After every wedding I send you through a first look album of some of the photos from your day, so straight away you have some photos to share. I also send you through some free prints of some of my personal favourite ones of your day. There is nothing better than seeing your photos in print and I love seeing them too!

All your photos are then sent through to you on an online gallery where you can download, share, buy products and post your photos to your hearts content!

Second Photographers £350

Are you looking for coverage of you both getting ready in the morning? Or do you have a long guest list? Maybe you want that first kiss shot from different angles? Then choose to have a second photographer! Don’t worry, it doesn’t cost double! A second photographer can maximum the coverage of your day and provide lots of different perspectives and angles. For example, whilst I am at the front of your ceremony getting photos of the two of you. Your second Bristol Wedding Photographer can be getting guests’ reactions and a different angle on that all important first kiss.

They are also brilliant at ensuring the day runs well along with myself. It’s great to have help when organising your guests for any group shots you may wish to have. Their complementary images will always add to your wedding photos as they are edited by myself to ensure a seamless collection. You don’t have to have a second photographer but I would highly recommend, especially if you want both covered in the morning. I can only be in one place at one time!

Albums

Albums are also available and included in our Sunflower collection. There are so many options to choose from with an album and it can be quite overwhelming when you are trying to do it yourself.

So that’s where I can help! All you have to do is choose a few preferences – colours, size, material etc. and of course choose your favourite photos. You choose these in your online gallery and I will be able to view this too. From there I will create your beautiful album whilst you get to sit back and relax.

Don’t worry I always send through proofs before hitting print, so if you want to make any changes you can.

FAQs

When do I get my photos?

Around 4-6 weeks after your special day you will receive all your wedding photos fully edited in your online gallery. Due to some busy wedding seasons this can increase to up to 12 weeks after. You will be kept informed throughout on timescales. Don’t worry though within 24-48 hours you will get some first look photos to share!

How many photos do I get?

Depending on your collection will depend on the amount of photos you will receive after your wedding. On average a half day at around 5-6 hours has a minimum of 400 and a full day 700+ images. Black and whites are also included. If you want as many photos as possible consider having a second photographer. Drop me a message and I can talk you through this some more. If you have lots of decor details this can also increase photo counts.

Can I give you a list of photos?

Quite simply, Yes! Send me your list and I will bring it with me. If you aren’t sure what you would like then let me know and I can run my top 5 on your day. I would recommend 10 maximum so you can spend more time chatting with your guests and enjoying your day. However, you are welcome to have as many as you like.

Do you edit the images?

Yes I edit the photos. The process of editing essentially involves making an appropriate artistic judgement on each photo for a cohesive collection. With minor adjustments to the exposure and crop or a conversion to black and white, for example. After this process you’ll receive perfectly-crafted digital images that reflect your beautiful day and you as a couple. However, if you want certain photos photoshopped in any I can offer this service (depending on the request) for an additional fee.

Do you offer bespoke collections?

Yes I do! All weddings are different so I try to offer collections to fit the majority of weddings however if you need something different get in touch! If you are only looking for a few hours coverage I am more than happy to send you a bespoke quote. If you are looking for an elopement or destination wedding then get in touch with more details of your day and what you are looking for, then I can come up with a bespoke collection for you.

Do you travel?

Although I am a Gloucestershire and Bristol Wedding Photographer I am happy to travel literally anywhere. I love to travel and meet couples all over the country. I have covered weddings in Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Stroud, Cirencester. As well as Wales, Somerset, Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire and Devon. All my collections include travel within the UK.

If your wedding would require an overnight stay additional charges may apply so get in touch soon.

Would you travel abroad?

Of course! Again, although I am based in Gloucestershire we are more than happy to travel anywhere! I have flown out to Majorca for a wedding and it was amazing! Can I buy an album?

Yes! I offer a selection of different albums. You can pre order one before your wedding day or come back to me after. They really are a very special touch after your wedding. I always show albums at my wedding fayres so pop along to see one! If you want more information on albums, drop me a message and I can send you over my wedding guide.

What is a second photographer?

A second photographer is just that. A second person on your day taking photos of your lovely day. They are great for getting variety of photos and full coverage of your day. I take their photos at the end of your day and edit them along with my own to give you a beautiful full album that works seamlessly together.

The best bit is I organise everything for you. You don’t need to go hunting for another photographer. I am very lucky to be surrounded by a group of very talented wedding photographers who I work with both as a lead and a second myself. From this brilliant group I bring along one as your second. I know and trust each of them so can give you peace of mind that your second photographer is fantastic.

Do I need a second photographer? Does it cost double?

Ask yourself these questions:

Do you want preparation photos of both of you on the morning? Along with a vast range of angles?
Do you have more than 100 guests?
Do you want as many different photos as possible of all of your guests?

If you answered yes to all of these then I would highly recommend you book a second. This doesn’t mean this isn’t possible with just one photographer however we can’t be in two places at once. Don’t panic second photographers do not cost you double. I charge £250 for a second photographer for all day.
