I have a real love of sunflowers. I had them in my bouquet on my wedding day and always have them in my garden. So when Gemma and Qusai were booking in their engagement shoot and asked about any locations I had just the idea – A Stroud Sunflower Engagement Shoot!
Stroud offers some gorgeous outdoor views and spaces for photos but sunflower fields are a must! Luckily, I knew someone in Leonard Stanley who grows one every year. Saxon Barn in Leonard Stanley is a lovely venue and working farm. Every year they grow a huge sunflower field purely to help the bees! In recent years sadly they had to move the field due to some people damaging the area. However, they were more than happy to help us out.
So on a lovely summers day in autumn we headed over for their engagement shoot. We moved round the field and walked along the edge to capture some lovely photos together. We even managed to find a small area perfect for sitting down and getting completely lost in the flowers.
These guys were amazing and loved having fun in the flowers. I cannot wait for their summer wedding in 2022!
