GLENFALL HOUSE
Lauren and Joe - Reception
Glenfall House has sadly shut it’s doors to weddings since this wedding. I hope you still enjoy reading all about Lauren and Joe’s reception there and get some good ideas for your wedding.
Lauren and Joe had their ceremony at the stunning Gloucester Cathedral and decided to hold their reception at the beautiful Glenfall House. Glenfall House is a Grade II listed manor house set in the stunning Cotswold, perfect for a Cheltenham Wedding. It offers not only the Manor house but wonderful surrounding gardens – the perfect spot for some photos.
Private Confetti...
Lauren and Joe had planned to have their confetti thrown at Glenfall Manor House. However, as with all weddings not everything goes to plan on your day. Just when we were about to get everyone organised for the confetti tunnel we discovered that all the confetti had been left about home. Panic… we did not! Instead we decided to go for the private confetti throw using Lauren’s flower girl’s petals with just Lauren’s bridesmaids. It turned out to be absolutely beautiful and such a special way to get some confetti shots.
Magic to behold...
Something I am seeing more and more at weddings and I would highly recommend is the booking of a magician. Your guests will absolutely love it and keep them entertained whilst waiting for you to arrive (if you are coming from another location). Sleight of hand card tricks are the best, in my opinion, to offer the most awe and wonder for your guests, they will be talking about it for days to come.
Gardens of Cheltenham Manor Houses
Glenfall House offers some of the best gardens in the Cotswold area for some unique and beautiful couples portraits. One of their picture perfect spots is along their wisteria walkway and arch down in the lower garden area. The wisteria was just at the start of its bloom and the purple flowers were a lovely pop of colour. Lower down in the orchard area the blossom was in full bloom on the trees as spring really had sprung.
Tips from this Glenfall House Cheltenham Wedding to take to yours:
Try not to forget the confetti but if you do find some rose petals! Have a private confetti throwing with just your Wedding party.
Plan in some evening portraits. Joe and Lauren had spent some time earlier in the day having photos at the Cathedral. However, with a change of location plan in just 15 minutes to take a couple more photos at your chosen venue – you won’t regret it.
