Tom and Marina
Tom and Marina had their beautiful autumn wedding at Eastington Park. Set in the village of Eastington in the Cotswolds, Eastington Park is a gorgeous Grade II listed estate with 8 acres of land and a stunning staircase. The walled garden is the perfect spot for some couples portraits as well as the lovely swing out the front. Not to mention the pergola outside is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony or in their ballroom if the weather is not the best.
Lynne Jessett Floristry
Tom and Marina had hired the absolutely amazing Lynne Jessett Floristry to style their wedding at Eastington Park. Lynne is an incredibly talented florist who not only creates amazing flower work but it a lovely person to work with. She created some amazing bouquets for Marina and her bridesmaids. Along with some beautiful lanterns to line the aisle, these were later used as the centrepieces on the tables. But the absolute showstopper Lynne created was the staircase. Eastington has a beautiful spiral staircase and Lynne is one of the best at decorating the railings all the way up.
Across the Universe...
As themes at weddings go this was a new one for me, but a pretty fun one. Tom and Marina absolutely love Star Trek so they decided to bring this to their day. Instead of a guest book they had a wooden Star Trek Enterprise, which guests signed a Starfleet logo to pop inside. They also had their cake topper made of the two of them in Star Trek uniform. To finish the theme off they even had their DJ play Star Trekkin’ after their first dance.
Eastington Park Portraits...
Eastington Park has some lovely grounds that make the perfect backdrop for some couples portraits. Tom and Marina decided to have some time going around the gardens together getting some photos whilst their guests enjoyed drinks, canapes and the magician they had hired for the day.
Golden Glow...
October means Golden Hour is much earlier and usually happens right in the middle of food. Which is exactly what happened with Tom and Marina, pudding had come out the sun was in just the perfect spot for photos. That didn’t stop them! Pudding was going to wait. Tom and Marina decided to head quickly outside for some golden photos in the evening sun.
Entertain the kids and big kids...
Magicians are always a huge hit at weddings for both the kids and the big kids. Tom and Marina had hired a magician for most of their wedding day. He was a man of many trick too! Not only did he go around during the drinks reception with card tricks, he had a whole show for the kids. After food had been served he had a 30 minute magic shows for the children, which was absolutely amazing not only for the kids but the adults too!
Tips from this Eastington Park Wedding to take to yours:
Have entertainment for the kids – if you are having kids at your wedding. This was honestly one of the best shows I have seen and it was absolutely perfect for all the children as well as their parents.
Leave the pudding and get out for golden hour. I know I bang on about golden hour (seriously like all the time) but it truly is one of the best times of the day. It fell right in the middle of pudding but Tom and Marina left that far behind and got outside. It was totally worth it and the pudding was still there when we got back.
Consider having a first look. Tom and Marina opted for walking down the aisle together on their day. Therefore it meant we had the perfect opportunity to get a first look as Marina walked down the grand staircase at Eastington Park.
